Antipolo Cathedral

Was at the Antipolo Cathedral a few days ago. And like all Catholic churches in the Philippines, it is echoing the stand of the church against the Responsible Parenthood bill, a law if passed would provide women and families in the country more options as to how they would plan their family. But that is another story.

I enjoyed the pleasant stained glass which depicted the Virgin Mary and her son Jesus Christ. The picture above and below are some of the stained glasses which one can enjoy inside the church.

The church is huge and more than the stained glasses there are different century-old statues of angels, dead priests and other religious articles.

A friend and I were lucky that there was a wedding going on inside the church when we visited the century-old church.

This is the photo that shows the main altar. I took the photo in the second floor. The church really looks great from there. In the photo below, one can see the reflection of one the stained glass in the altar.

The place is actually easy to reach if your are coming from the Santolan station of the LRT 3 or Cubao in Quezon City. To check the google map's driving direction, click here.
