Phat Tich Temple (Vientiane, Laos)

I  was in Vientiane, Laos recently on a visa run as my stay in Thailand will end on Oct. 16.

I decided to visit Vientiane because I have heard a lot of stories about the former French colony.

Vientiane is a beautiful city with beautiful people and of course beautiful Buddhist temples, an example of which is the Phat Tich Temple.

Here are some of the photos which I took inside the Vietnamese temple during my very short visit.

These statues will greet visitors to the temple as you enter the premises.

These statues will meet visitors before entering the temple.

Two huge warriors guard the entrance of the main temple. The photo above is positioned on the left and the one below is positioned on the right.

Between the warriors are the incense contrainer with two birds on both sides.

This is how the main "altar" looks like inside the temple.

On the sides are different statues.

View from the inside.

This stairs goes up to the different floors above the temple with different Buddha images.

One of the outside views from the temple showing another temple opposite the Phat Tich Temple.
